SteadyPost ("we," "our," or "us") operates a social media scheduling and analytics service for small businesses. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly when you sign up and use SteadyPost:

• Business name, contact name, email address, and phone number
• Business description, website, and address
• Social media account credentials (access tokens) obtained through OAuth — we never store your social media passwords
• Images, videos, and captions you upload for scheduling
• Billing plan and subscription preferences

We also collect limited information automatically when you use the portal:

• Log data (pages visited, actions taken, timestamps)
• Analytics data pulled from connected social media platforms on your behalf

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide the service: Schedule and publish posts to your connected social media accounts
• To generate analytics: Pull performance metrics from your connected platforms and display them in your dashboard
• To communicate with you: Send service notifications, onboarding guidance, and support responses
• To improve SteadyPost: Understand how the service is used and fix issues

3. Social Media Platform Connections

When you connect a social media account (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Google Business Profile, etc.) to SteadyPost, you authorize us to access that account on your behalf using OAuth tokens provided by the respective platform. We use these tokens only to:

• Publish content you have scheduled through SteadyPost
• Read analytics and performance data for your account

We do not sell, share, or use your social media data for any purpose beyond providing you the SteadyPost service. You can disconnect any platform at any time from your account settings.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in these limited circumstances:

• Service providers: Trusted vendors who help us operate SteadyPost (email delivery, hosting infrastructure). They are bound by confidentiality obligations.
• Legal requirements: If required by law or to protect the rights and safety of SteadyPost and its users.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. Uploaded media files are retained for 90 days after account closure before permanent deletion.

6. Security

We protect your data using industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls. Social media tokens are stored encrypted in our database. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access or export the data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information in your account
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Disconnect any social media platform at any time

8. Cookies

SteadyPost uses a single session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.

9. Children's Privacy

SteadyPost is intended for use by businesses and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify active customers by email if the changes are material.
